About This Blog
More than two years ago, Amanda Knox of Seattle, Washington, and Raffaele Sollecito of Italy were arrested for the murder of Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy. The arrests were made, based on "psychological insights" of an investigator before any significant evidence had been collected or analyzed. Soon thereafter, Rudy Guede was also arrested for the same murder after extensive physical and other evidence linked him to the crime. He has since been convicted. No evidence has ever been found linking either Amanda or Raffaele to the murder. In spite of this, they were convicted and sentenced to more than 25 years in prison. This blog reviews the distorted and pseudoscientific evidence developed by the prosecution to justify their incarceration.
The "interphase" in this blog, is a term borrowed from materials science that refers to the fact that near the interface between two phases of matter, there is a region of affected behavior that is three dimensional. It's characteristics are not the simple sum or average of the two adjacent phases, it is an "interphase" that must be studied in and of itself.
The human/science interphase is the region where human and scientific matters overlap, interact, and change all our lives, for better, or for worse.
